Robert Kalman and his wife Jennifer are proud Keego Harbor homeowners. He is the President and owner of a successful computer training and consulting business. He credits his achievements to years of goal oriented hard work – a clear vision as to what he wanted to achieve - and knowledge gained through his formal education, previous work experiences and volunteer activities.
A lifelong Oakland County resident, Robert Kalman attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1990, concentrated in Political Science, and achieved senior class honors.
Robert worked as an account executive for an internationally known company for several years following graduation, winning numerous awards for his sales accomplishments.
Robert Kalman then earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing in 1996. While attending MSU he interned at the EX-IM Bank in Washington, DC. EX-IM Bank is a US Government Agency tasked with assisting in the finance of US exports.
Upon graduation from MSU Robert accepted a managerial position with a national computer training company. He later formed his own advanced technical training company that helps small and medium sized companies, as well as fortune 50 companies, implement complex IT solutions.
Robert has volunteered for the Karmanos Cancer Institute, Habitat for Humanity, and tutored senior citizens on the basics of using a computer. He has also spoken to student groups at Michigan State University and provided them with solid career advice.
Robert is an avid runner and has completed several Detroit Free Press marathons - finishing the last 26.2 mile race in less than 4 hours. You may see him running along the West Bloomfield trail or through the streets of Keego Harbor.
He welcomes your comments and questions.
